The Ballhaus Berlin

Desk phones in the Ballhaus Berlin

The Ballhaus ballroom building was built in 1905 and is the only dance palace that has survived from the 1920s on Chaussestraße.

In 2014, it was extensively renovated and reopened. The attention to detail has of course been preserved. The atmosphere here is wonderful: a very high ceiling, wood paneling, spiral staircase, wooden balustrades and the famous antique desk phones will take you to another time. The latter offer a very special way of flirting, without having to make a move on the dance floor. In the flair of the 20s, the guests can flirt here on 31 original desk phones from the year 1938. After all, it's kind of nostalgic to call the lady at table 26 and whisper something nice into her ear to invite her for a drink afterwards. The exciting thing is that you have to look around to see who actually calls.
