It´s the tiny places that often have a lot to offer. “The Hat” is one of the places to go if you love Jazz music.
The bar is located in the Western part of the city close to the Berlin Zoo, in the district of Charlottenburg.
This tiny club is still an insider tip, makes you feel like being in New York of the 1920ies. Every evening there´s a jazz jam session and not charging entrance. Starting on weekdays at 10 pm, weekends at 11 pm. They usually start with drums, contrabass and piano. Later there might be a sax or other instruments jamming in.
Everything is spontaneous, there´s no fixed band. Thus, every night you experience a different travel into the world of jazz music, never knowing where it will take you. Acoustics are great there because of the vaulted architecture. Another world you can dive into there is the world of liquors. The offer is incredibly diverse. If whisky or rum, cocktails, long drinks or just a beer, which could be a tapped craft beer, just enjoy the large offering. Visiting “The Hat” is really worth it.
