Christmas is coming closer and the year is slowly coming to an end. The city lures with exciting and festive events this month.

We have gathered the most important highlights in December.

Christmas markets in Berlin
In Berlin there are some of the most beautiful Christmas markets you can find. A diverse selection of markets will never let the Christmas season get boring. From the Finnish and Danish Christmas market, over to the dog Christmas market to the classic Christmas markets at Alexanderplatz or Gendarmenmarkt.

Christmas Garden Berlin from 16.11. until 07.01.
In 2017, the Botanical Garden will once again transform itself into a luminous fairytale landscape, with innumerable light plays, dream forests and illuminated figures.

Zeughausmesse from 07/12 to 10/12
The Zeughausmesse for applied art gives its visitors the opportunity to experience "art to touch". Art does not always have to be expensive. At the fair you will find usable art objects that sparkle with creativity.

Fairytale hut in Monbijoupark
It's fairytale time again at the Monbijou Theater, and with the winter season classics by the brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersens are on the program. Fairy tales for families and adults are offered.

Lost: 48-hour art festival from 15/12 to 17/12
With the Lost Art Festival, a total of 80 artists and musicians want to build a bridge between the ecstatic nightlife and the intellectual art of Berlin. The program includes live performances, roundtables and a 48-hour cinema.

Christmas singing at the 1st FC Union on 23/12
The traditional Christmas singing in the FC Union stadium is very well attended every year. 28,000 voices sing together Christmas carols into the evening. A very unique experience!

Berlin New Year's Eve Run on 31/12
The 42nd "Pancake-Runf" is a traditional yearly running event at the Grünewald around the Teufelsberg. Depending on age and fitness different routes are available. Costumed participants will receive a pancake as a reward!

New Year's Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate on 31.12.
The grandiose New Year's Eve spectacle at the Brandenburg Gate is a must for all those who have not experienced it yet. Be enchanted by a huge TV stage program with national and international music stars and live acts.
