Once a year, in spring for the Gallery Weekend Berlin, many of the renowned galleries open their doors free of charge and invite national and international collectors, curators and art lovers to get to know the art of their artists.
Berlin is increasingly perceived internationally as an important art city. The three-day gallery weekend, during which around 50 galleries open their doors, is one of the highlights of the cultural calendar. With almost 50 galleries and around 1000 international and national guests, the Gallery Weekend has been very successful in recent years and has developed into a high-turnover event on the art market. On show are historical and contemporary positions by established artists and promising newcomers.
