The initial insider tip has become a fixture among Berliners for a few years now. Also many tourists have already got wind of the Klunkerkranich, nevertheless it is worth to report about it. For every year at the start of the season, the owners offer new entertaining events at the Rooftop Bar.
The project was launched in June 2013 - a roof line was created on the former parking deck 5 of the Neukölln Arcaden. "The top parking deck has been an informal hangout for years, it was not used by the mall," says Robin Schellenberg, one of the creators. 1000 square meters of wood were used to create the Klunkerkranich. For this purpose, an organic roof garden was created, where herbs such as absinth herb, thyme and oregano grow happily in the sun and are also used in cocktails. This location should not only attract the usual night owls, but also all those who want to enjoy the sun during the day and get a great view of Berlin. In addition to delicious drinks, the focus during the day is more on coffee, cakes and fresh juices. In addition, the Klunkerkranich offers an extraordinary fusion cuisine with Spanish accents and regularly alternating events such as art performance, live music and DJs.
