This floating pool in the middle of the Spree with its sandy beach and open-air bar has long since become one of the landmarks of the new, creative Berlin as well as a constant magnet for visitors.
Designed by Susanne Lorenz and the Spanish group AMP Arquitectos with Gil Wilk in a competition of city art projects e.V. The Badeschiff consists of a converted pusher boat, the middle part of a cargo ship used for shipping for shipping cargo on the river. Floating on the Spree, it is firmly anchored behind the Arena Berlin and can be reached via an extensive footbridge, the so-called Spreebrücke. In addition to a bridge connection this also offers moorings on wooden platforms. The Badeschiff was opened in May 2004. It is operated by the Arena Berlin.
In addition to the incomparable relaxation, you can enjoy massages, yoga and sports courses which are offered here, as well as concerts or parties every night. This makes the Badeschiff one of the city's coolest meeting places since 2004 - panoramic view and scene connection included.
